The important of Child play

Play is an important activity throughout childhood. Children play for pleasure, and as they play they learn. Children learn and practise skill as they climb, swim, ride a bicycle or doing chores. Team games as from our childhood like police and thief or hide and seek teach social skills such as co-operation, and competition. Games from chess to football require children to learn and follow rules which lead to the growth of thinking and action guided by rules. Through play with paint and musical instruments children acquire artistic and musical skills. Word game contribute to the development of language and the skills to speak and the use of the word. Pretend games form an important source of social learning. When children pretend to be parent, firefighter, policeman, singer, or teacher and pupils, they are practising their social skills and learning how to live with other and knew how the society around them function and their purpose.
